Enterprise Investors was awarded the "2011 Investment Company of the Year" title in Romania. The award was made by the financial magazine Business Arena, in recognition of our capital increase in Profi Rom Food Group. This is the second time Business Arena has awarded us this title to esteem our investment activities on the Romanian market.
Robert G. Faris, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enterprise Investors, received the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Merit. President Bronisław Komorowski honored Mr. Faris with this distinction for his contribution to the development of the Polish economy. See photo gallery.
In 2010 a special 20th-Anniversary Ventura was awarded by the gala audience to Enterprise Investors, for its 100 Investments in Poland. There were two other nominations for this celebratory distinction: Management Stock Options and 25 Initial Public Offerings on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The Ventura Awards are EI's prestigious annual awards program recognizing the firm’s best portfolio companies.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Poland honored Robert Faris, one of the founders of Enterprise Investors and its first president, with "The 20th Anniversary Pioneer" title. In justifying its decision, AmCham noted that the pioneering vision of EI's chairman broke down the barriers to business development in Poland in the early 1990s.

This distinction, which recognizes excellence in the EMEA region (Emerging Europe, Middle East, Africa), is one of the annual Achievement Awards organized by the reputable independent periodical, emeafinance.
Enterprise Investors received the Edgar Fulton Jr. Award for Outstanding Long-term Investment from the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland. This special award was granted for the first time in the history of the organization. EI received it in recognition of 15 years of successful investment in Poland while supporting economic transformation and entrepreneurship.
